Our story
Studio Marieta was founded in Barcelona in 2020 by Swedish expat Linda Arvola, and is a planning and styling studio specialising in curated destination weddings.
The company was initially founded as Better Together Weddings Spain, but rebranded in early 2024 to Studio Marieta with the purpose of diving deeper into our passion – design and styling.
Since our beginning, we’ve had the privilege to plan weddings for amazing couples from around the world: UK, Sweden, USA, Australia, Canada, Denmark..
Today, Linda runs Studio Marieta from Sitges, a quaint seaside town thirty minutes south of Barcelona where she lives with her husband and two children.
After living in Spain for sixteen years, she possesses a vast local knowledge, speaks the language fluently, and has well established relationships with industry colleagues. With a background in tourism and events, she’s and expert in helping couples navigating between cultural differences and language barriers.
When designing, she finds inspiration everywhere, from fashion architecture, interior design and art. The love for curated designs is something that we share with our clients.
Manifesto, why we do what we do
Because wedding planning should be easy. Because weddings should represent you as a couple. Because styling doesn’t have to be boring. Because we know that the traditional route isn’t for everyone. Because we adore Barcelona, and would love for you and your guests to discover it too. Because we cannot think of a better job than helping couples celebrating their love. This is the backbone of our business.
Our vision is to continue creating meaningful and timeless events for years to come.
Behind the name
The real Marieta (Marjatta, 1936-2018), Linda’s “mummo” (grandmother). A woman ahead of her time who who always inspired and keeps on inspiring.
