Planning your wedding in Spain should feel effortless, even if you’re halfway across the world –

MEET LINDA

Founder of Studio Marieta, Wedding Planner and Stylist

Planning a wedding can feel like a full-time job – without the paycheck or the time off. But it doesn’t have to.

I’m here to make sure your day looks and feels like you, not what anyone else thinks it’s ‘supposed’ to be, and that you never find yourself questioning decisions halfway through.

As your wedding planner and designer, we’ll work together, bringing your vision to life in a way that feels authentic.

If you think we are a match, there are some things you should know about me…

|

  • I can find inspiration in anything, I kid not, even the most random things. A blanket, a stone, a poster, a weird pattern at a restaurant, or just a feeling.
  • I’m a visual thinker, and my mind works a bit differently. At 15, I choreographed a street dance routine for our school show lying in bed, just listening to music and imagining the steps in my head.
  • I will never watch a Hugh Grant movie (if I can avoid it)
  • I speak English, Spanish, and Swedish, and can easily understand Norwegian, Catalan, and Finnish.
  • I’m detail-oriented and super structured at work, which is pretty funny because I’m laid-back and go-with-the-flow in my personal life.
  • Don’t make me choose between fried calamari and a beer.
  • I’ve been in Barcelona since 2009. What started as a Spanish class study trip turned into a lifelong detour. Now, I’m married to a Spaniard, a mum of two, and definitely not planning on leaving anytime soon.
  • I’m a little bit nostalgic, both in design and life. I love things, places, and connections with a story behind them.
Why I do it

Because wedding planning shouldn’t feel like a chore. Because styling can be exciting, not just “nice.” Because not everyone loves the traditional. Because I’m obsessed with Barcelona; and I want you and your guests to fall in love with it too. And most of all, because I can’t imagine a better job than helping couples celebrate their love.

What’s the future got in store for me? Continuing to plan more one-of-a-kind weddings for years to come.

A Woman Ahead of Her Time

The real Marieta (Marjatta, 1936–2018), my beloved “mummo” (grandmother). A woman ahead of her time, she inspired me then—and continues to inspire me today. This photo was taken on a summer day by the lake in Sweden, sometime in the sixties.
